Award-winning brother and sister duo Simon and Andrea Little launched Marketplace Media - the newest addition to the New Zealand publishing scene - in June 2009 to acquire the New Zealand Hardware Journal, Wares and Outdoor Power Equipment from defunct publishing company 3media Group.
With over 30 years international publishing, media and event management experience between them, the future is bright for these magazine enthusiasts who have publishing in their blood - not surprising as their father is industry stalwart Bud Little. Bud Little formed Marketplace Press in 1992 to offer the market the New Zealand Hardware Journal, Outdoor Power Equipment and, more recently, Wares. In 2007 he merged the company with Profile Publishing and Review Publishing to form 3media Group. When 3media Group was sold off earlier this year and Bud moved happily into retirement, Andrea and Simon bought back the titles Marketplace Media had taken in to the merged group and Marketplace Media took shape.
